remove the torx headed stud closest to you at the wheel arch. rotate alternator towards exhaust and it will sit nicely on the other stud. reach up and undo the 3 bolts holding the bracket that slides on the studs you were just at. undo bottom spring bolt of tensioner. the whole part will now pull away.
Possible causes : An electrical fault in the Turbocharger control circuit. MAP sensor electrical failure. Inspect connectors for signs of damage, water ingress, corrosion, etc. If the code is set at idle renew the turbocharger. If the code is not set at idle investigate faults with the MAP.
Okay, so I bit the bullet and forked out ยฃ75 for a genuine Ford sensor and it made absolutely no difference whatsoever , I've been told the fault could be anything from a dodgy connection in the wiring loom to an ECU fault, so have decided to cut our losses and have just part-exchanged the car against another one !!
