One of the main reasons why your vehicle could be vibrating at idle could be due to worn out spark plugs. When a vehicle’s spark plug is faulty, it can interfere with the air-fuel ratio leading to improperly firing cylinders, resulting in a misfire while idling. Replacing your spark plugs will solve this problem.

Shaking on cold start E90. Hi, I currently have an issue with my 325i SE (3.0 petrol Automatic 2009). Upon starting the car first thing in the morning the needle jumps to 1000rpms then drops to a steady 600 after a few seconds and then a slight shake/vibration comes into play. If I put the car into drive (but do not accelerate) the car begins
In the last couple weeks, after it's been sitting overnight -- i.e. it's a cold start @ 40-50F ambient-- when I start the engine the RPMs pop up to ~1,200- 1,500, then within a second it stumbles, with RPMs dropping sharply -- 500 or less RPMs. Sometimes it just stalls completely and needs a restart.
Possibly the raised idle makes the shaking less noticable. 2000 740iS. B48 engine randomly shakes when idling on stop lights. This might be no issue and I am just overthinking it. I have about 2k miles on my g42 with b48 engine and I’ve noticed how on idle whilst waiting on stop lights it has little spikes of shakiness. Noticeable enough for my wife to call it out every time. It almost feels like old shitbox

It does exactly the same thing, whistle at high rev and rough idle that surges between 500 and 800 RPM. There's no real other performance issues with my car just a minor inconvenience when taking off from a dead stop [which is exasperated by a stage 4 clutch rated up to 450ft/lb of TQ so it's really aggressive on the release].
In the event that the shift knob vibrates when starting or stopping on your Bmw 1 series, it is undoubtedly engine or gearbox silent blocks that are dead. Indeed, their purpose is to limit and absorb all the couplings and shaking of the engine and gearbox. If these are affected, these vibrations will have repercussions on other parts such as
cpw said: So my '03 330Xi has a very rough idle and vibration especially at lights in gear. It shakes the steering wheel and causes a nasty vibration of the plastic shroud around the steering column. It pretty much goes away if I put the car in park. When I put it in gear, there seems to be a noticeable load on the motor and the vibration starts.
