Ican see numerous comments about excessive oil usage on the A5 and in particular the 2.0 tfsi petrol. I have had an A5, 2.0 TFSi, automatic, since new (Dec 2009) and only covered 22,600 miles in it to date. What is annoying me is that I can rarely go more than 600 miles (700 miles max) without topping it up; it has been like that ever since I Asa result the 2.0 TDI manual emits an impressively low 137g/km of CO2 while returning 54mpg. The 2.0 TFSI with 180bhp is also efficient and averages 44mpg with emissions of 152g/km of CO2. You shouldn’t have to worry too much about Audi A5 Sportback reliability.
